HERITAGE METAL ART
Metal Silhouette Artwork
Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad
At the Chama station having taken on water, sand and coal
$350
These trains scenes represent a wide variety of railroads that served the transportation and communication needs of their
surrounding communities. Some, such as the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic RR, Durango & Silverton NGRR, and the renamed
Cripple Creek & Victor RR still operate as tourist trains in the mountains of Colorado. The Manitou & Pikes Peak makes daily
climbs to the top of Pikes Peak, and Union Pacific engine #844 still makes special runs. The engines used in each scene are authenitc
to that particular train.
The pieces are 48 inches wide, about 18 inches high and at least 4 levels deep, unless
other dimentions are indicated. The engine and tenders in the scenes are the same as for the real trains, but the other
cars may not be. Below is a close-up photo of the 3-D design and fabrication of the train scenes. The components are sealed
with a clear finish and are priced as indicated. They also come with a metal sign with the name of the train that hangs from
a small chain beneath the main scene. They are photgraphed against a colored background which is not part of the artwork.
Other custom train art is also available, such as the pieces at the end of the next page. Almost any design can be made upon
request.
